In February 2024, Basque culture remembers the death in 1818 of its capital’s most famous architect: Justo Antonio de Olaguibel. Also in Vitoria-Gasteiz, back in 1522, Hadrian of Utrech received the news of his pontificate in this beautiful city.

Throughout the year there will be activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Palacio Euskalduna de Bilbao; and the 100th anniversary of the Basque sculptor Eduardo Chillida. The Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum will remain temporarily closed in February (from the 1st to the 29th) due to an exhibition change.
