Basque culture has in September 2024, as in every September, several international events that are loved and enjoyed by locals as well, and for which it is worth visiting the Basque Country:

It is also a month full of proposals related to World Tourism Day (September 27th) and the start of the Hispanic Heritage month from September 15th to October 15th. Let’s do tourism and not war, can be a perfect cry to remember that on September 2nd, World War II ended.

It is a good month to enjoy the sea and marine activities. Remember that the Eusko Label Rowing Boat League ends this month. On September 20th, 505 years ago, Magellan‘s expedition left San Lúcar de Barrameda in search of the Moluccas, heading west. On September 16th, 1521, the Basque Juan Sebastian Elcano took command of the voyage and decided to return, making the first trip around the world.
